Where we make magic
The Greater Boston Free School does not have a specific location that we own or rent as ours. Here is a list of spaces and places where we have successfully held classes, that have spoken up to support us, and that we recommend to try out.
Lorem Ipsum Books:
The folks there are nice and know us well. They have a table that can fit from 6-8 people, and have held some strongly discussion based classes.
Inman Square, 1299 Cambridge Street, Cambridge (Red Line to Central Square, 15 minute walk or the 83 or 91 busses).
1369 Coffee House: 757 Mass Ave. Central Square/1369 Cambridge St. Inman Sq.
Encuentro 5:
These folks have been nice enough to carve out meeting spaces out of their expansive and humming hive that houses non-profits, unions, and people focused on creating a thriving space for organizations.
Chinatown, Boston (red, organge and green T stations nearby).
The Democracy Center:
Their rooms of different sizes are open to anyone who would like to book one. They ask for folks to do a walk-through before

Spontaneous Celebrations:
The name says it all.

Libraries
Never forget the wealth of public libraries we have in our city, from the Boston to Minuteman branches, so college libraries you can get into. They have open tables, study rooms, and are open late on certain days. Ask the friendly librarians about booking a consistent spot to hold class, and if not, crowd around a table or hidden corner.
Refuge Cafe
Just one of those open and airy coffee shops with nice big tables.
